Women of Faith

New Newman-7.jpg

Women of Faith, formerly Newman Women, is a multi-generational group comprised of masters students, doctoral students, working folks and retirees who come together to share their faith and lives through prayer, Bible study, reading and discussion.
This year the group will meet on Tuesday evenings during the semester from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at the Newman Cente
r. The first meeting of the semester will be on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2024.

Continuing the theme of prayer we will be viewing and discussing a video series about the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary. It is a 7 part series filmed in part in the Holy Land. The summary or the series is as follows-

"Enter into the Mysteries of Christ and Rediscover the Power of the Rosary - An authentic encounter with Christ leads to our transformation and sanctification. Mysteries of the Rosary integrates deeply reflective insights on the life of Christ, theological truths, and captivating stories together with breathtaking scenery, illuminating sacred art, and inspiring music. By filming on location in the Holy Land, our aspiration is to make the Rosary come alive in the hearts and minds of the participants. Encounters with Christ in the episodes and discussions will lead to even deeper encounters with Him in personal prayer and contemplation.”

As in the past we will watch the video, discuss what we saw making connections to our own faith life and share prayer requests.
