You may be a great religious education teacher or assistant. Perhaps you would like to support the program in a practical way, but not as an educator. You will find fellowship, support, opportunities to grow in faith as you volunteer in REY.Who Volunteers? In REY, Catholic parents and non-parents, college and high school students and faculty/staff all volunteer to work, learn and pray with children and youth. Consider signing up as:- catechist
- assistant catechist
- photographer
- reporter
- substitute
Time Commitments?Extended community members and UM students are invited to volunteer. This year's schedule is in line with the Amherst school district so we need to have extended community catechists who can meet with each class level. Individual catechists should sign up for the full year, but if a team wishes to divide the year's commitment that could work, too. Expect to prep an hour per session and attend 3 one-hour catechist meetings during the year.Volunteers may sign up for specific events and activities or for specific roles (like photography) on a one-time basis.Questions? cclark.newman@gmail.com or 549.0300. x14Updated 9/13/07
