Pre-k through 9th grade follow one schedule; grade 10 follows another. See below. OVERVIEW FOR PRE-K THROUGH 9th GRADERS 2009-2010Pre-k and kindergarten classes meet during the 10:30 am. Mass. First through ninth grades meet 9:15-10:15 am. The diocesan standard for formal instruction is 25 or more hours. For holiday weeks our habit is to not hold classes the opening Sunday of the holiday and to hold class on the closing Sunday of that week. MassEarly May: Reception of First Holy Communion by 2nd graders during the 10:30 am. MassOVERVIEW FOR 10th GRADERS for 2009-10After an opening session in September, 10th grade students tend to meet bimonthly, 11:30 am-1 pm., through April. The fall and January classes focus on Catholic social justice teachings and discipleship; the spring semester focuses on sacramental preparation. Service and a retreat complete the period of discernment and preparation.
