Faith Formation and Education
Faith Seeks Understanding
It is intrinsic to faith that a believer desires to know better the One in whom he has put his faith and to understand better what He has revealed. As a University community dedicated to knowledge and understanding, it is imperative that we advance not only in the Humanities and Sciences, but also in the Faith. That is why the Church established the Newman Catholic Center. As a mission to the secular University community, the Newman Center exists to aid students, faculty and friends to grow in the Faith. The Center expresses this mission in three ways: - By making the Sacraments available, most especially the
Eucharist which binds us all into the Mystical Body of Christ. - By advancing the knowledge and love of the Depositum Fidei
(Deposit of Faith) contained in Scripture and Tradition. - By providing opportunities to put our Faith into action through
Evangelization and works of Christian Charity (Social Action). So, come and learn what the Catholic Church really teaches and believes! | |
