Newman Community
 | Women of God Meets most Mondays, Fall 2009 7-8pm Newman Center Library beginning Sep. 28th | A note from our founder, Cecily Sharko:"The Women of God Conversation Group has been meeting every Monday with great success. I believe we find it a source of comfort and strength to gather and just talk freely about what it means to be a Christian woman in today's world. If you haven't joined us yet or haven't come in awhile, please do. You are always welcome... Thanks and peace." - Cecily Sharko Our discussion history: September, October, beginning of November 2008: we read and discussed "The Authentic Catholic Woman" by Genevieve Kineke. November into December 2008: we read and discussed John Paul II's "On the Dignity and Vocation of Women. (We were on break Christmas week through January). Facilitators: Megan Johnson & Marie Cleary. Contact: newmanwomenofgod@gmail.com All women are welcome. The group tends to be a mix of undergrad, grad, and extended community members.
