Giving Tree
| What is the Giving Tree? The Giving Tree is a program at the Newman Catholic Center. Symbolized by our beautifully decorated Christmas tree, the Giving Tree program provides gifts of new clothing items to approximately 600 children in need from this area. How Can You Help? - Go the Giving Tree in the Newman Center Chapel. Decorated paper ornaments that represent each of the 600+ children in need adorn the tree. On the back side of each ornament is a label. The label lists a child’s first name, age, gender, size, and clothing needs.
- Select an ornament (or more than one, if you are able to do so), along with a Frequently Asked Questions (PDF) hand-out and instruction sheet that provides information to guide you. Then, go shopping for clothing for that child!
- Bring your gift of clothing back to the Newman Center Chapel, in a holiday gift bag (not wrapped), label displayed, on or before Sunday, December 13th at 7pm. Your clothing gift will be delivered in time for Christmas.
