The Newman Catholic Center is your home away from home while you're at UMass. The Center is here for all the students (Catholic or not) of the University and the Five Colleges. So, whether you want to kick back, settle in to study, meet new friends, or worship and serve God with other students, it's all here: At Newman you will get the straight scoop on Catholic teachings, whether it is popular or not. We also strive to conduct the sacraments according to the mind of the Church. No 'made up' liturgies here.
We like to call our selves the Universities' Kitchen and Living room, so make yourself at home.
And, oh ya, bring your laptop... Newman has free WiFi throughout the building. We also have public computers in the Burke Lounge.
Newman has been helping students get through UMass for over 40 years. Our staff is here to help you in any way we can whether your problem is Spiritual, Practical, and Academic. We are looking forward to meeting you, so stop on by.
And did we mention that Newman is a great place to meet people? We Catholics are the 'party animals' of the Christian world... well, we are a feasting people! So, food and fun an important part of life at Newman.
