 | Women of God Resumes Mon. Feb. 2, 2009 7-8pm Newman Center Library to discuss "Woman: God's Masterpiece" | WE'RE TAKING A BREAK UNTIL FEBRUARY 2, WHEN WE WILL GET TOGETHER IN THE NEWMAN CENTER LIBRARY FROM 7-8 PM. On 2/2/09 we will be listening to portions of an entertaining and upbeat lecture by Christopher West titled "Woman: God's Masterpiece, Understanding and Living the Feminine Genius" and then conversing about them directly afterwards. West builds on Pope John Paul II's Theology of the Body and discusses the nature and dignity of women and why we are God's Masterpiece. NO PREPARATION READING NEEDED! A note from Cecily: "The Women of God Conversation Group has been meeting every Monday with great success. I believe we find it a source of comfort and strength to gather and just talk freely about what it means to be a Christian woman in today's world. If you haven't joined us yet or haven't come in awhile, please do. You are always welcome! For the spring semester we may change the meeting day. If you have a preference for a day email me. Stay tuned... Thanks and peace, Cecily Sharko"
All women are welcome. The group tends to be a mix of ugrad, grad, and extended community members. Facilitator: UMass graduate student Cecily Sharko - email csharko@nsm.umass.edu. Staff: campus minister Chris Clark |
